END OF YEAR CLEAN UP
December 12, 2023
Our house is decorated for Christmas (thanks to Mike), and I'm in the mood for eggnog, hot chocolate, and hot buttered rum. Celebrating is a fun and busy time. Our cards are mailed. Gifts were ordered and are already being received by family and friends. (We go with food, so they don't have to find a place for it.)
Editing of Playground Antics is in the capable hands of the editor. I've worked with her before. She's great! Looking forward to the book's release. I anticipate it being after New Years.
Tuesday, December 19th, is the final day of the AutoCrit Holiday Writing Challenge. I submitted mine today. Made a few slight changes to what I'd sent you. Needed to submit it before I tweaked it to death! I'm hoping Garrett & Leigh's First May Day will be a finalist. If so, maybe it'll even get a few votes, other than mine! My works have never been a finalist. You all enjoyed it, which means I'm already a winner!
I continue writing on the Fireman and the She-shed story. I added extra touches to the first chapter. As I progressed into Chapter Two, a conflict ensued when the heroine supports her nephew who had his sparkler stolen by a neighborhood bully. She confronts the parents. It was fun to write. The rocket just hit the shed, and the fire department responded. I'm toying with an idea for the title since the fire is only one scene. It's hinged on what the heroine imagines whenever she thinks of the hero…Green Eyes & Dimples. What do you think? It's a work in progress as is the story.
I will keep you informed of the publishing progress of Playground Antics. In the meantime enjoy your holidays!
P.S. Missy says "Hi!"
