My work on Playground Antics is complete! I'm loving the story…romance and suspense all rolled into one. This story idea is based on my contracting officer background. (Not that I ever worked for such a sinister, conniving boss.) I'm busy searching for photos for the cover. Yet another challenge.
I plan to send it off to my publisher after Thanksgiving. Fingers crossed for another contract. What a nice early Christmas present that would be.
I'll keep you all informed on the status. Also, I plan on sharing with you the back cover blurb once I'm satisfied with it.
My November Blog post discusses Christmas holiday stories. In it, I discuss how I'm better at post-Christmas ideas than pre-Christmas ideas. Does that make me a groundbreaker or a rebel?
I'm working on my 4th of July story idea. It's progressing nicely, and future scene ideas are coming to me. I do enjoy writing for you.
The editing platform I use, AutoCrit, developed a Story and Chapter Analyzer. It's amazing and gives me insight into my work. I used it on Playground Antics, and it tracked both the suspense and the romance of the story. This made me ecstatic, because I had doubts whether my writing conveyed the suspense I aimed for.
Mike bought me an early Christmas present and got me AutoCrit's All Access Premium Pass to a full year of their courses and workshops! This will keep me busy but aid my writing. I'm looking forward to learning new aspects of the craft of writing. I promise it won't slow down my writing.
I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. Please take a moment to give thanks for your many blessings. Rest assured--YOU are all part of my blessings.
P.S. Just a reminder, if you're stuck on Christmas ideas, my books make a fun Christmas present for loved ones, a friend, or even yourself!
